Rangers right-handed pitching prospect Thomas Diamond is scheduled to undergo Tommy John elbow reconstruction surgery on Tuesday and is expected to miss the entire 2007 season.
Maybin Among Tigers Sent to the Minors

The Detroit Tigers today announced the club has optioned the contracts of catcher Mike Rabelo and outfielder Brent Clevlen to Triple A Toledo. Additionally, the club assigned righthanded pitchers Craig Dingman and Dennis Tankersley, lefthanded pitcher Joey Eischen, infielders Brent Dlugach, Mike Hessman and Kevin Hooper and outfielders Cameron Maybin and Brandon Watson to minor league camp. |
