The St. Louis Cardinals announced today they have signed right-handed pitcher Matt Clement to a one-year contract for 2008 with a club option for 2009. Clement, 33, has a career 87-86 record with a 4.47 ERA while pitching nine-plus seasons in the Major Leagues with San Diego, Florida, Chicago Cubs and Boston.   more »
