The LA Times reported Wednesday that the Angels began working shortstop Brandon Wood, the organization's top prospect, at third base. This is significant in the sense that it could enable Wood to find a new home in Anaheim sooner than later.

Just caught this little tidbit from the Pirates Spring Training update of the day. "Neil Walker is moving to third base from the catcher’s position." There had been some talk and speculation of this move but it's been made official. Walker is rated the Pirates #2 by Baseball America. Wednesday, February 14
