On September 1, Seattle plans to add:

Mike Morse, AAA Tacoma, Charlton Jimerson, AAA Tacoma
Catcher:
Rob Johnson, AAA Tacoma
Pitchers:
Ryan Feierabend, LHP, Tacoma, John Parrish, LHP, AAA Tacoma, Sean White, RHP, AAA Tacoma Recall from re-hab, activate from 60 DL

On September 4, after the minor league season is complete, the Mariners plan to add:
Outfielders: Jeremy Reed, OF, AAA Tacoma,
Wladimir Balentien, AAA Tacoma
Infielder:
Nick Green, AAA Tacoma
Catcher:
Jeff Clement, AAA Tacoma
 
I, for one, am interested in getting a look at Clement and Balentien. Prospect followers like myself love this time of the year!

The rosters have been announced for the 2007 Arizona Fall League. Among the noteworthy names participating this October include:

Outfielders Trevor Crowe (Indians), Chris Lubanski (Royals), John Mayberry (Rangers), Cameron Maybin (Tigers), Colby Rasmus (Cardinals), Andrew McCutchen (Pirates), Gregory Golson (Phillies) and Travis Snider (Blue Jays); infielders Evan Longoria (Devil Rays), Blake Dewitt (Dodgers), Cliff Pennington (As) and Trevor Plouffe (Twins); catcher Jeff Clement (Mariners); and pitchers David Huff (Indians), Greg Miller (Dodgers), Max Scherzer (Diamondbacks) and Joe Savery, Philadelphia's top pick this past June out of Rice.

View Article  Giants Ink Bumgarner Leaving 8 1st Rounders Still Unsigned

The San Francisco Giants have signed their top pick in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft in left-handed pitcher Madison Bumgarner (10th selection overall).

Bumgarner, a 6-4, 215-pound left hander, helped Hudson's South Caldwell High School to the North Carolina state championship in 2007.  Gatorade's North Carolina Player of the Year posted an 11-2 record with a save and a 1.05 ERA (13er, 86.1ip) this year.  A member of the two-time state champions, the southpaw struck out 143 batters, while issuing just 11 walks over 86.1 innings.

Justin Upton, the number one pick of the 2005 draft was called up today by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was having an impressive season in the minor leagues hitting, .319 with 18 HR and 70 RBI with Visalia (Single-A) and Mobile (Double-A). The younger brother of B.J. Upton (Tampa Bay) was promoted when Carlos Quentin was placed on the disabled list due with a hamstring strain

He is not expected to start in today's game against the Padres but will be available this weekend for the series in Los Angeles.
