- In a wild game in Boston, the Royals, behind 3 hits, 3 RBI, 2 doubles, and a home run from Mike Sweeney, came back to plate 2 runs in the 9th inning to nip the Red Sox, 10-9. David Ortiz doubled, tripled, had 3 hits and drove in 4 runs for Boston
- Behind home runs from Morgan Ensberg and Aubrey Huff, the Astros rallied to score 3 times over the last 3 innings to beat the Brewers, 4-3
- Joe Mauer had 3 hits and scored 3 runs, and Justin Morneau added 3 RBI as the Twins held off the Tigers, 9-5
- Paul Konerko had 4 hits, but it was A.J. Pierzynski's 2-run walk-off homer that sent the White Sox to a 7-6 win over the Indians
- Carlos Quentin had 4 hits, and Conor Jackson and Eric Byrnes each drove in 4 runs to help Livan Hernandez (2 hits allowed over 7 innings) and the Diamondbacks destroy the Cardinals, 13-1
- Richie Sexson hit a grand slam, and Kenji Johjima added a 3-run blast to give Seattle all the offense they needed to defeat Texas, 7-2
- Joe Saunders allowed just one run on 5 hits through 7 2/3 innings as the Angels beat the Blue Jays, 4-1
- Matt Cain was on fire again tonight, allowing just one hit over 7 innings as the Giants shutout the Padres, 4-0
- Brad Hawpe had 3 hits and drove in 3, and Jeff Salazar added 3 RBI of his own as the Rockies outlasted the Nationals in a Colorado slugfest, 11-8
