- Barry Bonds homered and drove in 2 runs to help the Giants win their third straight, a 5-4 victory over the Padres
- Chien-Ming Wang won his 17th game today allowing just one run over 7 1/3 innings as the Yankees beat Baltimore, 3-2. Adam Loewen pitched a strong game for the Orioles allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings of work
- Jason Bay hit his 32nd home run and drove in 3 to reach 100 RBI for his second straight season as Pittsburgh downed the Reds, 7-4
- Boof Bonser allowed just one run on five hits in seven innings to help the Twins edge the Tigers and Nate Robertson, 2-1. Minnesota now trails Detroit by only 3 games in the AL Central
- Adam LaRoche and Brian McCann both homered for the second straight day, and Chuck James continued his string of successful starts as the Braves beat the Cubs, 7-3
- Chase Utley had 3 hits, 2 home runs, and drove in 2, but that wasn't quite enough to prevent Hanley Ramirez (3 hits, 2 SB) and the Marlins from walking-off with a 4-3 win over the Phillies, courtesy of a 10th inning RBI single from Cody Ross
- Paul Konerko had 3 hits, 2 home runs, and drove in 5 to lead an 18 hit attack by the White Sox in their 10-8 win over the Indians
- Lance Berkman went 3-for-3 with 2 home runs, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI, and Adam Everett added a homer and 3 RBI to lead Houston to a 10-4 thrashing of the Brewers
- Frank Thomas hit yet another home run, but the Devil Rays banged out 14 hits to knock off Oakland, 9-6
- Matt Holliday and Garrett Atkins combined to go 5-for-7 with 2 home runs and 7 RBI as the Rockies defeated the Nationals, 9-5
- Jeff Keppinger hit a 3-run homer to key a 6 run 12th inning as the Royals upset the Red Sox, 10-4
- Brandon Webb pitched a one-hit complete game shutout tonight to lead Arizona to a 3-0 win over St. Louis. Webb also got through the game without allowing a walk. He struck out 5.
- Toronto's Gustavo Chacin and Anaheim's Kelvim Escobar both had impressive outings, but one team had to lose, and tonight that team was the Blue Jays, 2-1
- In another well pitched game this evening between Robinson Tejeda and Jarrod Washburn, Texas and Seattle battled for 13 innings until Jose Lopez ended the game with a walk-off single and 3-2 win for the Mariners

Here are some of the historic milestones reached by Grady this season: * Just the 2nd player in Major League Baseball history (and 1st AL player) w/50 2B, 10 3B, 20HR & 20SB (Hall of Famer Chuck Klein PHI-N 1932) * He is the first Indian in club history w/2 seasons of double digit totals in 2B, 3B, HR & SB. ..First Indian since 1936 w/50 2B & 10 3B (Odell Hale)...Tris Speaker (1920, 1921, 1923) is the only other Indian to do it. * Just 3rd Indian with two seasons of 20HR/20 SB (Joe Carter, Roberto Alomar) * Leads the American League and tied for 1st in the Majors with 83 extra base hits...The most by a lead-off batter in the Major Leagues since ALFONSO SORIANO had 89 in 2002 for the Yankees...Since the 1957 season (according to RETROSHEET) only four batters have had 75 or more extra base hits from the lead-off spot: Zoilo Versalles (MIN, 1965, 76), Nomar Garciaparra (1997, B0S, 85), Alfonso Soriano (2002&2003, 89/75, NYY) & Sizemore...Sizemore's 83 extra base hits are a club record from the #1 hole...
