Description: The ULB (United League Baseball) has four teams open. We are a 20 team netplay optional league, getting ready to start our preseason draft. The teams are at the cut down, 23 man size, preparing to draft to 35 players. We use up to 110% usage (PA/IP), playing a 162 game schedule broken into 15 two week phases. Currently we are realigning AL/NL and ballparks, so the teams should be able to pick either AL (DH) or NL (no DH) and any open ballpark (although if you act quickly, you can get into our ballpark draft).
Email Doug: dnk@alum.mit.edu if you are interested and want to get more info and a copy of the constitution and the available team rosters.

Description: Is Jim Hendry an idiot? Is Billy Beane a genius? Can you do better??? The USBL is the most realistic Strat-O-Matic league you’ll find! Free agency is approaching after a successful first season, and three (3) qualified candidates will be allowed to enter the league and try their hand at managing all the ins and outs of a team. You’ll have to consider things like which minor leaguers should be protected on your 40-man roster, whether to buy out the last year or two of arbitration on your young stars, which free agents to bid on, and how much to offer them. Oh, and in addition to your 40-man roster, you’ll have a minor league system equipped to handle up to 110 prospective youngsters. That’s right – 4500 players are on teams in USBL! But don’t worry, free agent bidding starts in January for the 2007 season (April-October), followed shortly by the 1st-year player draft, and you can add some fresh blood to your team. Each manager gets $95MM/yr in revenue (+/- penalties and bonuses)… how will you spend yours?

Description: The USF Leagues is a group of Stratomatic Leagues using the latest version of all Stratomatic computer game products (Baseball, Football, Hockey & Basketball). The USF Leagues vary in size from 12 to 24 General Managers. The USF Leagues vary from retro to modern day style. Some USF leagues include a salary cap while others are your typical keeper league with an annual rookie draft. The USF leagues feature a regularly updated website and a private group forum using EZ Board. Each USF League operates in a series of blocks which are played one at time. Deadlines for each block are no shorter than 1 week per league. Each league plays a full schedule of games to match the actual sport (ie., Football = 16 games, Baseball = 162 games etc.). There are a total of 100+ USF members in all eight (8) leagues combined with many members participating in more than just one league. If you are looking for an excellent way to participate with Stratomatic game products in a competitive but friendly environment then look no further than the USF Leagues!
The USF is always looking for solid, dedicated GMs when openings come up. If you are someone that is reliable and has excellent communication in this type of league environment we would like to hear from you! There is an application on our main website to complete and email back to me. Thank you for looking!

APBA Leagues
League Name: NOSL
Simulation Game: APBA

Contact Name: Jerry Whitson
Contact Email: jerrywhitson@comcast.net
Description : NOSL is a fee league but that fee has been paid this year, so there would won't be a 15.00 charge for that team. Modern day players, AIM, MBF, Salary and Contracts with live auctions. The NOSL team has very nice club and played for the league championship last season. Posada, Hafner, Aurilia, A-Rod, Michael Young, Jose Bautista, Alfonso Soriano, Hinske, Nady, Wily Mo Pena, Arroyo, Jason Jennings, Peavy, and Mariano Rivera are some of the players. This team doesn't have a lot of cap room left as it only has about 600,000, but it does have 2.2 mil in the slush fund that would allow them to buy out players. Also in our league, when a new owner takes over, they are given one free move so they can release any player they want on their team and owe him nothing. This will open up a lot of cap money in most cases. You are also allowed to draft up to 6 players that aren't in MLB. This is a chance to play the role of a GM along with being the manager of your team. Another nice thing about the league is our auction site. This is where players go up for auction each year, and you get to bid on them.
