MLB distributed some cool information about the Rockies streak and where it fit into history. There is some pretty remarkable stuff here. To say that this is no ordinary accomplishment is the understatement of the year. Let's take a look:

Colorado has won 10 straight games heading into the World Series, including this postseason. The winning streak is the 4th longest ever headed into the World Series.

The Rockies have lost just once in the last 38 days, coming Sept. 28 against Arizona at Coors Field, 4-2. During that span, the team has won 21 of 22 games, including seven in the postseason. The Rockies have not lost a road game since Sept. 13. The Rockies are the 5th team in the last 71 years to put together such a streak, and the only one extending into October.

The Rockies have won their first seven games of this postseason, becoming just the 2nd team ever to start a postseason 7-0, joining the 1976 Cincinnati Reds, who won the NLCS in three games over the Philadelphia Phillies before sweeping the New York Yankees in four games in the World Series. Each of the last 4 postseasons has featured a winning streak of 7 or more games. Every team to record 7 or more straight wins in the postseason has gone on to win the World Series, except for the 2006 Detroit Tigers. Colorado’s streak of seven straight Series wins matches the 3rd longest winning streak in post-season history:
