View Article  Glavine Accepts One Year, $8 Million Deal to Return to Atlanta
It was only a matter of time...The Associated Press is reporting this evening that Tom Glavine and the Atlanta Braves have come to an agreement on a one year deal worth a reported $8 million. After seeing how poorly Glavine pitched against the Marlins in the Mets final game of the season last year, Braves fans can only hope they get the pitcher New York saw through April and May.   more »
View Article  Oakland Trades Scutaro to Toronto
The Oakland Athletics announced today the club has traded utility infielder Marco Scutaro to the Toronto Blue Jays for minor league right-handed pitchers Kristian Bell and Graham Godfrey. Scutaro finished the 2007 season with a .260 batting average to go along with seven home runs and 41 RBI in 104 games. Sounds like a good deal to me. I mean, anytime you can get 2 prospects, even marginal ones, for a bench player, that's a good deal!    more »
