The Padres have agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent lefthander Randy Wolf according to ESPN.com. Because of Wolf's injury history, the deal is heavily incentive-based, according to a source familiar with the discussions.
Also today, the Red Sox today announced that the club has offered salary arbitration to free agent righthanded pitchers Eric Gagne and Mike Timlin. The club also announced it will not offer salary arbitration to righthanded pitcher Matt Clement, catcher Doug Mirabelli, infielders Royce Clayton and Eric Hinske and outfielder Bobby Kielty. more »
