  • Thanks to BDD member Greg Andert for passing this along…“Jesse Crain is most likely done for the year with a torn labrum and a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.” More info will follow.
  • The Braves have released 1B/OF Craig Wilson. Jarrod Saltalamacchia will remain in Atlanta.
  • Prior to today’s game vs. the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox recalled Toby Hall from his rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated the catcher from the 15-day disabled list.
  • New York’s Jose Reyes is not in the lineup today, but the move is purely precautionary. The Mets confirmed that the discomfort Reyes is feeling in his hamstring is just tightness.
  • The Tigers changed their Game 1 starter from LHP Mike Maroth to RHP Zach Miner in today’s game against Boston. Maroth is fine. He’s just a little under the weather.
  • The Mets placed Moises Alou on the 15-day disabled list today with a pulled left quad. The move is retroactive to May 13.
