View Article  Another Pitcher Goes Down

The Baltimore Sun has reported that Orioles pitcher Adam Loewen has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left elbow. He’s expected to miss at least two months if not the entire season.

Loewen had a bone scan and an MRI test this morning, and the Orioles received the results later in the afternoon.

The Orioles estimate that Loewen will be shut down a minimum of eight weeks before he's allowed to begin a throwing program.

Loewen is 2-0 with a 3.56 ERA this season. He was the fourth overall pick in the 2002 draft.
