The Oakland A’s today reinstated right-handed pitcher Rich Harden from the 15-day Disabled List and optioned right-handed pitcher Shane Komine to Triple-A Sacramento. Harden was placed on the DL April 16 with a strained right shoulder, his fourth career stint on the DL. He tossed a scoreless seventh inning in a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, allowing one hit and recording one strikeout against Tacoma. Harden was 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA in three starts this year before leaving his start on April 15 against New York in the seventh inning with the shoulder injury.
Girardi Turns Down the Orioles

As you probably know by now, Joe Girardi turned down the Orioles managerial position. Andy MacPhail held a press conference today to pretty much alert the public to the situation. " Joe called me and told me that he really wasn't ready to leave his family at this point," MacPhail said, reiterating that the search will go on. And the circus continues in Baltimore...
