The Milwaukee Brewers send the San Diego Padres to an 11-6 defeat, and the Colorado Rockies hold off the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-3, to force a one game playoff between the Padres and Rockies on Monday in Colorado.

Jake Peavy will likely be the starter for San Diego while the Rockies have yet to offcially announce a starter.

NL Playoff Picture Clears Up

The Mets 2007 collapse is complete as the Florida Marlins beat up Tom Glavine and go on to an 8-1 victory over New York. The loss eliminates New York.

The Phillies have gone on to win the National League East by defeating Washington, 6-1.

Congratulations to Philadelphia!

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Brewers lead the San Diego Padres 9-4 in the last of the 7th inning and the Colorado Rockies have jumped out to 1-0 lead over the Diamondbacks in bottom of the 7th.

Happy Managers

The Houston Astros announced today that the club has named interim manager Cecil Cooper to the full-time post, including a two-year contract through 2009 with a club option for the 2010 season.

The Washington Nationals exercised the 2009 option on manager Manny Acta's contract.

Umpire Winters Suspended...Bradley Vindicated?

Major League Baseball announced today that Umpire Mike Winters has been suspended for the remainder of the 2007 regular season for his conduct during Sunday’s game between the Colorado Rockies and the San Diego Padres at PETCO Park in San Diego.

Interesting...so maybe it wasn't all Milton Bradley's fault after all.
