The New York Mets introduced Johan Santana Wednesday to some 200 media members gathered in the Diamond Club at Shea Stadium. On hand were all the top suits, from Fred and Jeff Wilpon down to Omar Minaya and Santana's counsel. Anyone and everyone from the New York media scene was in attendance as well. Howie Rose, Harold Reynolds, Gary Cohen, and Marty Noble all took notice as Santana spoke from the podium. Len Berman, Bruce Beck, and even Mike and the Mad Dog listened intently to what the newest member of the team had to say.   more »
