Hello everyone...thanks for joining me again as I write my second blog entry. I would first like to thank everyone that emailed me regarding the last blog. I want you know I read all of them, and I really appreciate the encouragement. I apologize that I was not able to return the emails as I have been very busy.
Lets get back to the on field details. I got sent down from big league spring training since the last time that I wrote and began camp on the minor league side. The day that I got sent down, we started playing games and the organization thought it was best for me to play with the Double A ball club. I was very excited to work out with that team the remainder of spring training. Since moving down, I got moved to right field, which was another great opportunity to learn how to play
another position. I love being able to be versatile.
Camp is ending on Sunday, and all the teams will be leaving Arizona on Monday to fly to their respective cities. The organization let us know where we will be stationed on Thursday. I was thrilled to be reporting to play with the Double A team. The name of the team is the Huntsville Stars, which is located in Huntsville, Alabama. I am excited to get this season on the road and look forward to playing with this group of guys. Our team is filled with great players who are going to contribute to a successful season this year. On a side note I am also pretty dog-gone happy that I can get some good southern food down in Alabama...like biscuits and gravy with a tall glass of sweet tea. Ha-ha if you can't tell…I love some southern cooking!
This week's verse:
"For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my Sake will find it." Matthew 16:25
Well guys that about wraps it up for me. Again I really appreciate all the emails that you have sent in and the time you take to read the blog because I know that all of you are very busy.
Take care and God Bless
Matt
