• Nick Blackburn tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings, and Justin Morneau singled, homered, and drove in 2 runs as the Twins blanked the Indians, 3-0.
• Jose Reyes doubled, homered, drove in 2 runs, scored 2 runs, and stole a base, and David Wright added 2 hits and 2 RBI as the Mets beat the Phillies, 4-2. Chase Utley reached base 3 times and hit his 6th home run of the season for Philadelphia.
• Aaron Cook gave up just one earned run on 4 hits in 7 innings and Todd Helton led the offense with 3 hits as the Rockies edged the Astros, 3-2. Houston starter Wandy Rodriguez had to leave after 4 innings with a sore groin.
• Manny Ramirez walked twice and hit a game winning 2-run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning to lead the Red Sox to a come-from-behind win over the Rangers. Hank Blalock had 3 hits, and Josh Hamilton homered and drove in 2 run for Texas.
• Mike Jacobs singled, doubled twice, and drove in 3 runs, Jorge Cantu added 3 hits, and Wes Helms drove in the game winning run in the 9th inning as the Marlins walked off with a 6-5 win over the Nationals.
• Ervin Santana pitched 3 hit ball for 8 innings, and Erick Aybar collected 2 hits and 2 RBI as the Angels quelled the Mariners, 4-1.
• Matt Stairs reached base 3 times, Alex Rios hit a home run, and Dustin McGowan allowed just 2 runs over 7 innings as the Blue Jays nipped the Tigers, 3-2. Carlos Guillen and Ivan Rodriguez each had 3 hits for Detroit.
• Aaron Rowand went 3-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBI, and Tim Lincecum baffled St. Louis hitters through 7 scoreless innings as the Giants shut out the Cardinals, 3-0.
• Chuck James yielded one run over 5 innings, and Mark Teixeira had 2 hits and 2 RBI to lead the Braves to a 4-1 win over the Dodgers. Andruw Jones homered and walked twice for Los Angeles.
• Daric Barton went 3-for-5 with a double, triple, and an RBI, and Ryan Sweeney added 2 hits and 2 RBI as the A's rallied to knock off the Royals, 6-5. Jose Guillen doubled, homered, and drove in 3 runs for Kansas City.
• Ramon Hernandez doubled twice and drove in 2 runs, Kevin Millar had 2 hits, homered, and scored twice, and Brian Burres and Jim Johnson combined to shut down the New York offense as the Orioles rolled to a 6-0 win over the Yankees.
• Andy Sonnanstine threw a complete game 3-hitter, and B.J. Upton had 3 hits as the Rays stung the White Sox, 5-0.
• Eric Byrnes walked twice, doubled, stole a base, and knocked in 2 runs, and Justin Upton singled, doubled, and scored 2 runs to help the Diamondbacks take a bite out of the Padres, 10-3. Paul McAnulty doubled and homered for San Diego.
