  • Russell Martin and Andre Ethier each had 3 hits, and Nomar Garciaparra and James Loney drove in 3 runs apiece as the Dodgers rocked the Reds, 9-3.
  • Adam Wainwright yielded just 2 runs on 4 hits in 7 innings of work, and Troy Glaus reached base 3 times and collected 2 RBI as the Cardinals rallied to edge the Brewers, 4-3. Carlos Villanueva had a strong showing for Milwaukee, giving up just 2 runs on 3 hits while walking 4 over 7 innings.
  • Micah Owings pitched 6 1/3 solid innings and picked up 2 base hits at the plate, and Mark Reynolds, Eric Byrnes, and Orlando Hudson all went deep as the Diamondbacks got by the Giants, 4-2.
