On a foul ball in the second inning of tonight's game vs the Marlins, Jeff Keppinger fouled a ball off his left knee. X-rays revealed that the Reds SS suffered a fractured left kneecap. He will undergo an MRI tomorrow. Bad news for the Reds and Keppinger who was on pace for a career year.

What a terrible blow for Jeff and the Reds. Kepp is simply a "solid ballplayer" that any team would be fortunate to have around.

Keppinger was my starting SS in two of my four leagues...now I am scouring the wire for the likes of Erick Aybar and Omar Vizquel...ugh.
