...The Houston Astros Lance Berkman had his hitting streak stopped at 17. The Chicago Cubs pitching staff did there job not allowing Berkman a hit in four at-bats. The Cubbies would go a head and win the game 7-2.

...Speaking of the Cubbies, they're now tied with Boston and the Diamondbacks with 28 wins a top the major's.

...New York Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez made another positive move in his quest to rejoin the Mets rotation. Pedro pitched 4 1/3 innings of a simulated game on Monday. The Mets have plans for a bullpen session either today or tomorrow in Atlanta.

...Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, is set to rejoin the Yankees tonight after a successful rehab stint. The Yankees big bat has been out of the line up since April 28th with a strained quadriceps.
"I'm excited to get back into Yankee Stadium and playing baseball. It's where I belong," Rodriguez said after going 2-for-6 in an extended spring training game Monday.
He could be seeing some time at designated hitter to ease him back into things.
