  • Shane Victorino had 3 hits, Chase Utley and Geoff Jenkins homered and drove in 3 runs, and Adam Eaton allowed just one run on 4 hits over 6 innings as the Phillies blew past the Rockies, 6-1.
  • Endy Chavez hit a 9th inning pinch-hit home run to tie the game, and Fernando Tatis smacked a 2-run double in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Mets walked-off with a 7-6 win over the Marlins. Luis Castillo and Jose Reyes each reached base 3 times and homered for New York. Cody Ross hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 for Florida.
  • Rickie Weeks had 2 hits, tripled, and drove in the game's only run, and Jeff Suppan tossed 8 shutout innings as the Brewers blanked the Braves, 1-0. Jo-Jo Reyes allowed just one run on 2 hits while striking out 9 for Atlanta.
  • Craig Monroe hit a pinch-hit 3 run home run to lead a 5-run 9th inning to tie the game, and Justin Morneau belted a solo homer in the top of the 10th to win it as the Twins stunned the Royals, 9-8. Mike Lamb went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored for Minnesota. Alex Gordon and Joey Gathright each had 3 hits for Kansas City.
  • Ray Durham doubled, homered and knocked in 4 runs, and Benjie Molina and Jose Castillo each added 3 hits as the Giants spoiled Doug Davis' return to the mound by beating the Diamondbacks, 11-3. Fred Lewis reached base 4 times and scored 3 runs, and Aaron Rowand had 2 hits, 2 RBI, and scored twice for San Francisco.
  • Roy Halladay struck out 9 in 8 strong innings, and Alex Rios doubled in the go-ahead run in the 9th inning to lead the Blue Jays past the A's, 2-1. Jack Cust had 3 hits, and Rich Harden  gave up just one run on 5 hits in 7 innings for Oakland.
  • Yuniesky Betancourt hit a solo home run, and Erik Bedard pitched 2-hit ball over 7 shutout innings as the Mariners quieted the Red Sox, 1-0. Tim Wakefield threw a complete game for Boston, allowing just one run over 8 innings.
  • Matt Garza struck out 10 while giving up just 2 runs on 4 hits in 8 innings, and Akinori Iwamura led the offense with 2 hits and 2 runs scored as the Rays beat the Rangers, 5-3.
  • Johnny Damon had 3 hits, Hideki Matsui doubled twice and scored twice, and Jason Giambi had 2 hits, a home run, and 2 RBI as the Yankees doubled up the Orioles, 4-2. Brian Roberts had 3 hits, and Melvin Mora added 3 more, including a home run, for Baltimore.
  • Joey Votto went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored, and David Ross reached base 3 times, homered and drove in 4 as the Reds dominated the Pirates, 9-1. Bronson Arroyo pitched 6 strong innings, and Jay Bruce doubled and walked twice for Cincinnati.
  • Carlos Zambrano yielded just one run over a 130 pitch, 8 innings of work, and Alfonso Soriano drove in the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to send the Cubs to a 2-1 win over the Dodgers. Russell Martin collected 3 hits, and Derek Lowe tossed 7 shutout innings but didn't figure in the decision for Los Angeles.
  • Adam Wainwright threw 8 innings of 3 hit ball, and Yadier Molina had 2 hits and 2 RBI to help the Cardinals fly past the Astros, 6-1.
  • Marcus Thames hit 2 home runs and drove in 4, and Armando Galarraga allowed just 2 runs on 4 hits in 8 1/3 innings as the Tigers defeated the Angels, 6-2.
  • Cristian Guzman had 3 hits, Jesus Flores hit a grand slam, and the Nationals held off the Padres, 6-4. Tad Iguchi had 3 hits, and Scott Hairston had 2 hits, a home run, and 2 RBI for San Diego.
