• Pat Burrell reached base 3 times, doubled, and drove in 2 runs, and Chase Utley hit his 20th home run of the season to lead the Phillies to a 7-5 come-from-behind victory over the Marlins. Mike Jacobs hit 2 homers and drove in 4 for Florida.
• Dave Bush pitched 7 superb innings, giving up just one run on 4 hits, and four different Milwaukee players drove in 2 runs apiece as the Brewers crushed the Astros, 10-1.
• Justin Morneau doubled and tripled, and Michael Cuddyer went 3-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI as the Twins knocked off the Yankees, 6-1. Minnesota starter Nick Blackburn was taken out of the game in the fifth inning after being hit in the face by a line drive off the bat of Bobby Abreu.
• Aramis Ramirez went 3-for-3 with a walk, and Jim Edmonds doubled, tripled, and drove in 2 runs as the Cubs won their 7th game in a row, a 5-3 victory over the Rockies.
• Vlad Guerrero reached base 3 times, and Maicer Izturis went 2-for-4 and drove in the winning in the bottom of the 9th inning as the Angels rallied to walk-off with a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays. Scott Rolen had 3 hits, and A.J. Burnett allowed just 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 8 in 8 innings for Toronto.
• Magglio Ordonez and Miguel Cabrera each had 2 hits and 2 RBI, and the Tigers scored 4 runs in the 9th inning to beat the Mariners, 7-5. Raul Ibanez had 3 hits, a home run, and 3 RBI for Seattle.
• Manny Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a double, home run, and 3 RBI, Mike Lowell doubled, homered, and drove in 2, and J.D. Drew reached base 3 times, hit a solo home run, and knocked in 3 as the Red Sox pounded the Orioles, 9-4. Luke Scott doubled and homered for Baltimore.
• Gabe Gross hit a 2-run triple to tie the game in the 5th inning, and later hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 10th to give the Rays a 4-3 walk-off win over the White Sox. Alexei Ramirez had 3 hits, a double, and 2 RBI for Chicago.
• Brian Bannister gave up one run on just 4 hits in 7 1/3 innings, and Jose Guillen had 3 hits, a home run, and 2 RBI as the Royals beat the Indians, 6-1.
• Dan Haren tossed 7 scoreless innings, and Orlando Hudson hit a 3-run home run as the Diamondbacks blanked the Nationals, 5-0.
• Troy Glaus went 3-for-4 with a home run and 2 runs scored, and Skip Schumaker reached base 3 times, doubled, and drove in 3 as the Cardinals held on to defeat the Pirates, 7-4. Jose Bautista had 3 hits and 2 RBI for Pittsburgh.
• Jack Hannahan doubled twice and drove in 3 runs, and Bobby Crosby collected 3 more RBI as the A's rallied for 9 runs in the 7th inning to stun the Rangers, 13-8. Daric Barton walked 4 times and scored twice, and Travis Buck, Jack Cust, and Mark Ellis all hit home runs for Oakland.
• Fred Lewis hit a 2-run triple to tie the game, and Jose Castillo singled in the winning run as the Giants responded to San Diego's 2-run 10th inning with a 3-run inning of their own to defeat the Padres, 4-3. Tim Lincecum pitched 7 strong innings for San Francisco, allowing just one run on 4 hits. Adrian Gonzalez had 2 hits, a home run, and 2 RBI for San Diego.
• Johan Santana gave up one run in 7 2/3 innings, Ryan Church singled, doubled, homered, and drove in 2 runs, and David Wright added 3 hits and 2 RBI as the Mets breezed past the Dodgers, 6-1.
