Braves right field prospect Jason Heyward returned to the Rome Braves' line-up on Tuesday. The Braves' second-best prospect according to Baseball America had been out with right knee and shoulder injuries since June 5.

Orioles Right-hander prospect Chorye Spoone will return from the disabled list tonight and start the back end of doubleheader against the Double-A Reading Phillies. The Orioles eighth-ranked prospect according to Baseball America, had been unavailable since April 21 with bicep tendinitis.

The Twins signed 2008 First-Year Player Draft second round pick Tyler Ladendorf, an infielder from Howard College, and the Royals sign second rounder Johnny Giavotella, a second baseman from the University of New Orleans.
