- Alexei Casilla and Brian Buscher each had 2 hits and 2 RBI, and Minnesota scored 5 times off Brandon Webb in the 5th inning as the Twins swept the Diamondbacks, 5-3. Conor Jackson had 3 hits for Arizona.
- Mike Pelfrey blanked Colorado for 5 2/3 innings, and Carlos Beltran hammered a 2-run home run as the Mets beat the Rockies, 3-1. Greg Reynolds pitched a solid 7 innings for Colorado.
- Emil Brown singled twice, walked twice, and drove in 2 runs, Mark Ellis went 3-for-5, and Justin Duchscherer gave up just one run over 7 2/3 innings as the Athletics breezed past the Marlins, 7-1.
- Mark Teixeira blasted 3 solo home runs, and Tim Hudson pitched 7 scoreless innings as the Braves roughed up the Mariners, 8-3. Jeff Clement doubled, homered, and drove in 2 runs for Seattle.
- Marco Scutaro scored 3 runs, and Adam Lind and Scott Rolen each reached base 3 times and hit home runs as the Blue Jays knocked off the Pirates, 8-5.
