Our own Matt LaPorta was among the star prospects named today to the U.S. roster for the 2008 Futures Games in New York. Other up and coming stars who'll be participating for the U.S. team include Casey Weathers, Taylor Teagarden, Chris Davis, Mat Gamel, Andrew McCutchen, Greg Golson and Dexter Fowler.

The World team will boast a strong roster of its own with the likes of Max Ramirez, Elvis Andrus, Fernando Martinez, Angel Villalone, and Gorkys Hernandez.
