Curtis Granderson went 4-for-5 for Detroit, and Albert Pujols collected 4 hits and a walk for St. Louis.
- John Danks threw 6 scoreless innings, and Alexei Ramirez singled, doubled, and drove in a run as the White Sox blanked the Dodgers, 2-0.
- Rich Harden struck out 11 while pitching 2-hit ball over 8 scoreless innings, and Carlos Gonzalez had 2 hits and a home run to lead the Athletics to a 5-0 shutout of the Phillies.
- Jamey Carroll reached base 3 times, tripled, and drove in 2 runs, and Cliff Lee gave up one run on 4 hits in 8 innings of work as the Indians took care of the Giants, 4-1.
